,We have found a new home to show off some of the great ways to use fresh seasonal produce! Managing two websites (plus a farm, family and all around life) was a bit too much. We will upload some of our old recipes here and continue to add new delicious posts too. We always love to hear how you are eating through the seasons, so please comment and share! 

First up Kale Salad. It's a classic, simple and easy and never goes out of style!

Kale Salad  
  • 1 bunch kale, stemmed and leaves thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup plus extra-virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup
  • Pepper
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 1 apple, peeled and julienned
In a medium bowl, whisk the lemon zest and juice, soy sauce, syrup and 1/4 cup of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

Toss together carrot and apple and kale. Add the dressing and toss again. Season with salt and pepper. Let sit an hour or more before serving.
